  16. Here comes a further update of StartupControl. It`s a MAJOR UPDATE.

  18. StartupControl is a  "multifunctional utility"  for your Startup-Sequence.
  19. It was designed with the  intention  to offer direct control to  the boot-
  20. process combined with easiest operation and much comfort.
  21. With StartupControl you  can  get  information  about the status  of  your
  22. computer and set a desired configuration every time your Amiga boots.

  24. Comparable tools mostly  offer only  one out of StartupControls options or
  25. are very  specific  to a single  topic and  overloaded  with  features and
  26. therefore not easy to use.

  28. StartupControl tries to close this gap and offer useful features which are
  29. easy to use.

  33.     - Automatic clock-check. If clock has crashed it can easily be
  34.       corrected with StartupControl.

  65. Hier  kommt  nun  die  neueste  Version von  StartupControl.  Diesmal  als
  66. MAJOR UPDATE.

  68. StartupControl ist ein "Multifunktions-Utility" für Ihre Startup-Sequence.
  69. Es wurde mit der Absicht entworfen, mittels einfachster Bedienung und viel
  70. Komfort, gezielt in den Boot-Prozeß eingreifen zu können.
  71. Sie können sich mit StartupControl über den Zustand ihres Computers infor-
  72. mieren und bei jedem Booten des  Rechners eine beliebige Konfiguration auf
  73. einfachste Weise einstellen.

  75. Vergleichbare Programme bieten meist  nur eine der in Startup-Control ent-
  76. haltenen Funktionen oder  sind  sehr fachspezifisch und funktionsüberladen
  77. und dadurch schwer bedienbar.

  79. StartupControl will in diese Lücke  stoßen und sinnvolle Funktionen leicht
  80. verständlich zur  Verfügung stellen.  Für  Anregungen zur  Erweiterung und
  81. Verbesserung bestehender Funktionen bin ich dankbar.

  85.     o StartupControl überwacht nun auch die Systemzeit. Sollte diese nach
  86.       einem Absturz verstellt sein, öffnet StartupConrtrol ein Fenster
  87.       indem Datum und Zeit bequem wieder eingestellt werden können.
  88.     o "Vectors" Option in "System-Info" umbenannt. Ab sofort werden hier
  89.       auch Laufwerksinformationen, sowie Systemzeit und die Zeit der
  90.       batteriebetriebenen Echtzeituhr angezeigt.

  93.     o kompletter Assign-Manager: Dieser übernimmt, auf Wunsch, das Ein-
  94.       tragen aller Assigns aus Startup-Sequence und User-Startup.
  95.     o Alternative Startup-Sequencen mit komfortabler Auswahlmöglichkeit
  96.     o LastAlert zeigt ausführliche Informationen über den letzten Guru.
  97.       Diese Informationen können auf Wunsch in ein Logfile gespeichert
  98.       werden.
  99.     o Automatische Laufwerksüberprüfung aller Laufwerke (Validation)
  100.       während des Bootens
  101.     o Schreibschutz für beliebige Laufwerke (z.B: Festplatten)
  102.     o Booten ohne WBStartup und/oder User-Startup, wenn gewünscht
  103.     o Booten im PAL-Modus erzwingen (bei TV-Anschuß)
  104.       Dabei können Auflösung und Farbtiefe frei gewählt werden
